Hi channing yes the more of the stomach that has been removed or bypassed the more likely you would be to experience diarrhea and loose stools.
Green stool when your feces look green is usually the result of something you ate such as spinach.
I haven t been passing gas too much though but am hurting in my left shoulder.
Things have been difficult at times but most of the discomfort has been psychological.
Newborns pass a dark green stool called meconium and breast fed infants often produce yellow green stools.
Tarry sticky looking stool is also not normal.

Both of these types of stool can indicate blood in the stool and should be reported to your surgeon unless you were told to expect this after surgery.

I am 4 days post op and all the stools i have had are black and runny.
While we are on the poo subject mine is dark green like duck poo lol i just presumed it was off the iron tablets.
Certain medications or iron supplements also can cause green stool.
Usually black or dark green stool is caused by eating certain foods or due to gastrointestinal gi bleeding.
I am hoping that will help.
Dark stool or stool that looks black in color is not normal after surgery and often indicates bleeding in the upper part of the digestive tract.
Some foods like licorice green leafy vegetables or taking supplements can turn your poop very dark green or black.
The nurse said that it could be from the gas they used to blow up my stomach.
